NewMarket Announces $2 Million Telecommunications Contract in North America

DALLAS, TX, Apr 22, 2010 — NewMarket Technology, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: NWMT) today announced a new $2 million telecommunications contract with a customer in North America. The project is expected to be completed within the 2010 calendar year. The customer selected NewMarket based on the Company’s demonstrated ability to implement highly customized telecommunication solutions. The customer and the specifics of the contract remain confidential at the customer’s request. NewMarket continues to produce telecommunications innovations through its Greenfield Partners NuMobile, Inc. and Alternet Systems, Inc.

“NewMarket’s revenue and net income grew in 2009 primarily from increased sales in our operations outside of North America,” said Bruce Noller, Company CEO. “North America was more impacted by the global financial crisis than our operations overseas. For instance, our operation in China reported nine percent revenue growth to $45 million with record net income of over $2 million in 2009, contributing to NewMarket’s almost $100 million in approximate annual revenue. We are optimistic that this new contract in North America, in combination with the development of a promising 2010 sales pipeline in North America, is a good indication of our operations in North America also seeing revenue growth in 2010 in addition to the growth we anticipate from our overseas operations.”
