CLIFTON, NJ, May 05, 2010– Electronic Control Security, ECSI, a global leader in entry control and perimeter security systems, today announced it had submitted proposals totaling $6.6 million for its Entry Control Portal (ECP) and Infrared Perimeter Intrusion Detection (IPID(R)) systems. Arthur Barchenko, President and CEO of ECSI, stated, “The proposals were submitted in response to requests originating from seven of our nuclear power station customers in the U.S. based on our past performance in supplying both our technology and the support services required for these facilities. Further, the Company’s ECP and IPID(R) perimeter systems have been proposed for two task orders issued by the U.S. Navy.”
“Our ECP and IPID(R) technologies have been selected to strengthen the overall security for seven nuclear power stations by replacing our competitors’ technology on the existing perimeters and to secure certain naval facilities. All of these highly-sensitive installations are required to achieve the tightest security possible in view of the increased threat levels that have been evidenced recently. We are particularly delighted to have had the opportunity to submit these proposals based on our existing customers’ past experience and recommendations.”
Mr. Barchenko further stated, “The nuclear and military markets continue to be major growth areas for ECSI now and in the years ahead. This is based on our current position as a technology supplier and support service provider to the nuclear and DoD markets.”
