Coherent, Inc. (Coherent) is a supplier of photonics-based solutions for commercial and scientific research applications. The Company designs, manufactures and markets lasers, precision optics and related accessories. Coherent’s products address a range of applications, which includes the markets, such as microelectronics, materials processing, original equipment manufactures (OEM) components and instrumentation, and scientific research and government programs. It is organized in two segments: Commercial Lasers and Components (CLC) and Specialty Lasers and Systems (SLS). CLC’s primary markets include OEM components and instrumentation and materials processing. SLS develops and manufactures configurable products serving the microelectronics and scientific research markets.
