Edwin Montoya’s family carved their farm on the slopes of the Kilauea volcano out of “raw jungle,” transforming it into a fertile collection of gardens, animal pens and fruit trees. U.S. solar company SunPower Corp reported a smaller-than-expected quarterly loss on Tuesday on higher demand for solar panels in its U.S. residential and commercial business.
